fails to open files with colons in their name

Open jackyf opened this issue 12 years ago • 1 comments

Debian user reports:

"A file name such as "Title:_Subtitle.epub" will fail to open in fbreader. There is no indication of any problem, it just opens a previous file instead. My guess is it is assuming any colon means it was given an url, and then supressing the error treating the non-url as an url."

Actually, any file with a colon in the name will fail to open and instead make fbreader display the previously opened book.

This results in fbreader not beeing able to display ANY book opened from a remote location in Linux Mint or systems that handle remote locations similarly, since they are mounted to directories like: /run/user/1000/gvfs/smb-share:server=...
