Provide a sensor for set fanspeed?

Is it possible to have a sensor that shows current fanspeed?

I would like to calculate COP continously, and one component that is needed is air volume per time. This is available in the technical docs and could be looked up from a table if there was a sensor that would tell me what fan speed is used currently.
