[WIP] Replace Eisenstat Walker method with a simpler equation.

Related to #5146 . Since the Eisenstat Walker method is partially not functional, this tests out an emperical function I found to work well in several cases. This pull request will allow for further testing.

So there are 16 failing tests. Can you take a look at how the patch affects the number of nonlinear and linear iterations and summarize what you see?
