@bangerth A randomly selected page in the online manual: some units show the command \si{bla}, some units are italic, some are not.

As @cedrict just realized, there are dozens or hundreds of places where \si appears in the HTML output now. (There are 342 occurrences of \si in the .cc files.) The only way to address this in a systematic way is to extend the script we use before we give things to .md to rewrite these commands.

I'd love to have a systematic way to find all of the places where we express units without the \si command, but I really don't know how to do that :-(
