[3D] KML text is hidden by buildings

Open Brunim28 opened this issue 7 years ago • 1 comments

On every browsers and mobile devices, the informations of a 2D layer are lost in 3D. If infos are written on a 2D shape, they can not be readding in the 3D mode and are "hidden" by the 3D buildings.

To reproduce this issue:

  1. Open application activate 3d Button
  2. Open the "tools" section in the accordeon panel and select Import
  3. Copy and paste the adress http://cms.geo.admin.ch/www.geo.admin.ch/kml/zoo.kml -> Nothing is written on the highlighted building near Zürich
  4. Keep the same KML loaded but desactivate the 3D
  5. Observe the same building in 2D-> this time, the l"MASOALA Regenwald" legend is written on the 2D shape. -> in 3D, the "MASOALA Regenwald" legend was "hidden" under the building.

KML is draped to terrain. So it suffers same effect as all our draped layers.

Maybe we can add transparency option for 3d objects? Or an on-off option for 3D stuff?
