[3D] Create STL test file
Goal: estimating CAPEX and OPEX for providing 3D printing on demand via STL
Task:
- which library to use? https://pypi.python.org/pypi/numpy-stl / http://python-stl.readthedocs.io/en/latest/
- estimate cost to implement a service ( codewise, queing services)
- compatability with printers
- estimate licence cost ( .terrain files, 3dtiles used)
- estimate file size
Action: using the python libs above , create an 15x15x15cm STL file for approx this perimenter https://s.geo.admin.ch/6f1293f91d containing Large buildings ( jungfrau Viktoria Hotel) small buildings, bridges of different width and steep terrain and flat rivers
Result: one STL file, ready to submit to a printer
Great ! I will look into that !

Seems like I got most of it. At lest this website thinks so. http://www.viewstl.com/ I still need to create a volume instead. I will start writing the specs.
This one is 13.8 X 20 X 3.9 cm
