Liechtenstein has no tooltip in layer ch.swisstopo.swissboundaries3d-kanton-flaeche.fill

Liechtenstein is graphically represented in the layer ch.swisstopo.swissboundaries3d-kanton-flaeche.fill but no tooltip is associated (https://s.geo.admin.ch/74a3d86699). It has for consequence that Liechtenstein geometry cannot be ordered in the Shop (with standard products like Alti3D : https://s.geo.admin.ch/74a3d946e6).

@loicgasser @rebert Why is that the case? Is it a data integration issue? @mariokeusen ?

that's a data issue, just don't have the same config for WMS and CHSDI it seems

had a look at the 2017 swissboundaries3D data delivery (and on some older deliveries): no Liechtenstein present in the KANTONSGEBIET class (therefore no tooltip). But: on the class HOHEITSGEBIET, Liechtenstein is still present with its communal units. Missing tooltip information seems to be a (conscious?) data provider's issue. I'll ask him why Liechtenstein is missing in KANTONSGEBIET.

What's funny is that it's visible in the cantonal boundaries layer

Means the cantonal boundaries' visualization is constructed by the HOHEITSGEBIET featureclass, while the tooltips for the canton layer come out of KANTONSGEBIET.

Had a short talk with the data owner yesterday. Basically this is intention. The problem is: there are (at least) three purposes swissboundaries3d are used for:

  1. Official (political) boundary geodataset of Switzerland (GBDS 39.3): here, Li is clearly not part of the cantons and should imo also disappear from the visualization
  2. the same dataset is used for geographical selections of shop products, where Li must be part of, because lots of chtopo products also cover Li
  3. the geometries of the same dataset are often used in order to visualize e.g. statistics per canton, commune... Example: https://s.geo.admin.ch/74ae05f941 . In most of these cases, Li is not needed / part of.

If we wanna solve this thoroughly, imo there's two canton datasets needed: one (the existing) for GBDS 39.3 and one extended "shop-version" (in the background for highlights) with Li
