Any interest for specmatch packaging?

I already made proposal to gentoo bugtracker for specmatch & scikits_audiolab ebuilds. Main problem seems to be that it is python2 based, not even mentioning that it uses pygtk:2. https://bugs.gentoo.org/709414

As they recommended, I did repoman full -x -d, but there is issue: I never create metadata.xml for own ebuilds unless they are copied from others to be improved (just created dumb xml file to make repoman passing).

It looks really useful - just strange it was never packaged in gentoo (but it is in arch). I only still have to test with different blas/lapack implementations (some deps hard depend in this stuff).

In attempt for next upgrade iteration I found pygtk masked. Will it be preserved for older software still in original proaudio? I'm probably to try eventually some porting for specmatch, to gir/pygobject system, but not certain.

Edit: Could it be somewhat like dishonored or so, for why some distros don't even package it?
