Is the npm `pug` package needed?

I spent almost an hour trying to figure out why this package wasn't working. It turns out that I need to have installed both pug-loader and pug from npm.

It would be great if that was part of the documentation, probably under the install section.

If you don't have the time to modify the docs, I'm happy to send a PR with the suggested changes.

I uninstalled pug and pug-loader, and the syntax highlighting is working. Now I don't know if that was causing the initial issue, or if that was something else.

Therefore, I change the title from "~Documentation improvement~" to "Is the npm pug package needed?"
