Thermostats Widget not updating

Hi,

I have been trying to change the widget for the thermostats to not show the temp since they do not have the ability to report the room temperature. And instead show the current battery status, but the changes I do to the Thermostat Widget is not reflected in the Widgets in my groups? I even tried to delete all the thermostat widget, but they still worked in my groups?! How is that possible?
