If u wanna see the "preview" of the salary input textfield u need to change this line in my-employee-form-view,html <oj-input-text id="inputSalary" label-hint="Salary" value="[[$props.salary]]"></oj-input-text>

to

<oj-input-text id="inputSalary" label-hint="Salary" value="[[$props.hireSalary]]"></oj-input-text>
