ansible provisioning for vagrant fails

Open ezs314159 opened this issue 2 years ago • 1 comments

Ansible encounters two problems during vagrant up --provision. Both stop provisioning. This is on Intel MAC OS with the most recent versions of Ansible, the geerlingguy roles, and Python.

  1. ./roles/geerlingguy.pip - fails because the pip_package was not found. The repositories need updating before the first install. Adding "cache_valid_time: 3600" to the package module options solves the problem.

  2. ./roles/geerlingguy.containerd - fails because containerd.io is not found. In this case an arm64 repository is configured for an amd64 system. The defaults for the role are just fine, but ./vars/main.yaml overrides the default with "docker_apt_arch: arm64". Without that line, provisioning completed.
