Everything went smoothly until the final step where I received this: SCSI Status: Check Condition Sense Information: Fixed format, current; Sense key: Illegal Request Additional sense: Invalid command operation code

I'm wondering if you have any suggestions. I think it is unlikely that this is related to my use of WD-Passport-Unlock-Linux, and unfortunately I forgot the exact series of events....

when entering the last part of step 5 which is '.cookpw.py PASSWORD >password.bin" im getting back this line "/usr/bin/env: ‘python’: No such file or directory" Any idea what it could...

does it need to run this command on every time we plug in the device?

This worked on Linux, but now if I plug into a Mac, then it thinks it requires the password still - and if I enter it, then it does not...

Hi, Sorry for the inconvenience. I'm using your script to unlock my WD in a script, but i also wanted to manage to lock it back up when I needed....

Here's the script I use to unlock my drive. Note how I get the device name without having to manually inspect dmesg by looking up the attached drives whose model...

Replace all the 'space tap' with '\t'. Renamed hdparm to raw. Enable password changing function.
