I've been thinking about this. Seems like lots of ways to handle it. You could have an option to select whether the user just wants to send a link to the WP post as simple post on Slack (how you have it currently setup), or use the attachments style and include things like the full post content or excerpt, etc.

For example, we have a BBPress support forum and I have it setup to post new topics to a support channel in Slack. This is how I have them coming in: screen shot 2014-04-15 at 10 16 50 am

@earnjam Yeah. Would be awesome if user can opt-in the message given available tags, like %post_title%, that user can opt-in.
