Update MAINTAINERS for current status
AFAICT, MAINTAINERS is not really up-to-date, is it? We should probably update it, shouldn't we? CC @frlan
Definitely we should. I'm afraid also mine could be marked, as there is way too less time in last … time.
Do you have an idea how to update it?
Would it be feasible to email each author and ask for a status (probably with a deadline)?
That's probably one solution, that could potentially even spark a tad of renewed interest from those parties… maybe…
Otherwise, I'd suggest looking at the "recent" (couple years maybe?) history and stop pretending the ones that didn't see a change from the maintainer in that long are still "maintained". I know this is not a metric proper as a plugin might be "done" and the maintainer still care but haven't had anything to fix, but for some it's pretty obvious that's not what happened.
I think pining directly will have a better resolt as some plugins are kind of ready and don't need any patches e.g.
