Why would edits to README.md affect 50 files? Did you maybe start from an old checkout or a different branch? I'm perplexed...

@eddelbuettel : Thanks Dirk! Good catch. @mhughes26 is a student of mine who I'm starting to teach about R packages, and he's doing some hurricane work with me, so we're starting with him finding and fixing some typos in the documentation. He had forked the "main" branch, but then I asked him to do the pull request back to the "devel" branch. I then realized that I hadn't done a good job of making sure "devel" was up to date with the last changes I made to "main", as I think I did some "main" changes kind of quickly to fix a CRAN warning or error a little while ago.

All that to say, this is legit, and it's my fault that it looks messy. Thanks for keeping an eye out, though!
