Auto shorten URLs

Please add a feature to detect and auto-shorten URLs if there is an active internet connection.

I'm sorry, where do you want URLs to be shortened? In the app's APRS comment line? I don't like URL shorteners very much, as many are collecting data about you, and it should be your explicit personal choice to use one, not part of the app.

I was thinking in messages but that's a fair point about collecting info. What about auto splitting long messages like APRSIS does?

When a message exceeds the character limit, it splits into multiple messages, recognizing the + at the end and auto concattinates at the recipient.
