Would like to see tablet/phone location on map

I use aprsdroid to track high altitude balloons. We normally don't transmit our location while the balloon is in the air so that we don't block the balloon message. Having the option to put a dot on the map like the Android Map application would be very helpful to see where you are. If you wanted to transmit your location it would be a separate object than the tablet dot.

I use the openmap version.

And having an option for MPH/Feet etc would also be appreciated.
