mode solver improvements

How can we use different mode solvers to ?

  • [ ] solve waveguides arbitrary index profiles
  • [ ] solve multi-layer waveguides with sidewall angles
  • [ ] compute mode leakage to substrate
  • [ ] Improve femwell interface from femwell to gdsfactory on docs
  • [ ] From waveguide cross_section simulate modes

Here is a nice mode solver API

it would be great to port this easy API to femwell and tidy3d mode solvers
