Retort contains EOL widget code

Hi there, my community loves this plugin. For a while now, I have been seeing this warning

Plug-in ‘retort’ contains code that needs to be updated. (ID:discourse.widgets-end-of-life)

Any chance the necessary change will get implemented? I understand this plugin may get soaked up into the core Reactions plugin but the timeline on this seems very uncertain.
