Octopod App - outside of the LAN functions

Is it expected that when outside the LAN of Octoprint, that only push notifications work on the app?

I thought using the octopod iOS app I was able to access my printers remotely. It seems this isn’t working now. It was before.

It’s still working for me. Have you double checked your port forwarding rules on your router?

I can remember it working and I didn’t have to forward any ports. I guess I’m just totally confused, I thought that the app allowed me to see my printers without opening up my firewall or do any port forwarding. Like SimplyPrint or Octoeverywhere.
