Webcam stream gets activated, even if not shown for printer

I do have a webcam configured in OctoPrint. However I have octopod configured the not show the webcam preview. However octopod still triggers the webcam stream regardless.

The issue i have here is that i use an Android phone configured as a webcam and have configured to enable its flashlight when the webcam stream is in use. So therefore i notice that the stream gets triggered even though it isn't even shown in OctoPod.
