@jsmeix milestone is still 'ReaR v2.8' - please adjust as you think it best fits (v3.0 or v3.1). Thanks.
It doesn't matter much if the messages.log file has file permissions 0640 instead of 0644 as ReaR runs as the **root** user in memory.
