`F` Opens tabs twice on Zen Browser

When following a link using shift+f for opening on new tab it opens the tab twice.

Steps to reproduce

  • Install Zen Browser
  • Go to Extension store and install Vimium-C
  • Go to a new tab and open some website
  • Press shift+f and follow one link

Also tested this behavior on regular Firefox and this bug is not present there.

After following the D hint, two tabs have opened on the left panel, only one should have opened.

Browser, OS and Vimium C versions

  • Browser name: Zen Browser
  • Browser version: 1.0.0-a.33 (64-bit) - Based on Firefox 129.0.2
  • Vimium C version: 1.99.997
  • OS name and version: Windows 11

same issue, also it does not happen on normal vimium with zen browser

It also seems that sometimes you need to press the link-hint twice in order for it to register, this usually happens when the page is loading.
