Can't open PDFs with PDF viewer for Vimium C

Open wntrmt-nm opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

Trying to open a PDF file on ungoogled-chromium with PDF viewer for Vimium C enabled results in the following error: PDF.js v2.16.53 (build: 58d52fb98) Message: Invalid PDF structure. Disabling the extension and reloading the page makes it possible to open PDFs.

Where was your test PDF stored? If it's from a website, then this issue may be because some websites refuses to provide PDF files to a client (e.g. an extension) which is not a browser itself, which means PDF Viewer for Vimium C would receive a bad file content.

If you met this limit, then there's almost no way to bypass it.

This happens with any PDF I try to open in Ungoogled-chromium if the extension is enabled. With other browsers things work as expected with the same PDF files.

EDIT: Enabling "allow access to file URLs" in extension settings makes it possible for me to view PDFs from my computer but I still can't view other PDFs that I know should work from websites. This is probably some setting in chromium I'm not aware of, I'll just have to exhaust all the options.
