Support for OpenAI sk-proj API Keys Needed

Hi gd3kr,

First off, thank you for building BlenderGPT — it's an exciting and innovative add-on.

I wanted to let you know that the current version of BlenderGPT doesn't appear to support OpenAI's new project-based API keys (sk-proj-...). As of mid-2025, OpenAI has deprecated legacy sk-... keys for new accounts, making it impossible for many new users to authenticate with the add-on.

I've confirmed that my sk-proj-... key is valid and works via direct API requests (e.g. with curl), but BlenderGPT throws an “incorrect API key” error when I try to use it.

Are there any plans to support the sk-proj format in future releases? It would be great to see compatibility added, as this is becoming a blocker for many new users.

Happy to test or provide feedback on any workaround or experimental builds.

same here, sadly I cannot use the plugin as my keys are recent. Thanks for the plugin though!
