No entities for my devices

Open enigma746 opened this issue 2 weeks ago • 4 comments

Hi, with 3.3.4.1 it finally works for me :) Thanks for you work on that!

Immediatly after I upgraded iCloud3 there were only my devices, not those from my family. One day later the family devices are listed and i can add them in iCloud3. But here is the problem: all devides have no entites. I got 3 entites for iCloud3 Integration and thats it. When i click on my phone in iCloud3 there is written "This device has no entities"

Not sure if I got something wrong, but I never had that problem before. Maybe someone else got this and can share some ideas for this?

Thank you for your help.

Best regards Timo

today I also noticed the same thing. If I reload the addon, all entities disappear except "device_tracker.name". In order for them to be restored, you need to go to the integration settings, to the Sensors section and click save. Then they will all appear again. But when I reload again, they disappear again.

Restart instead of reload. First try Event Log > Action > Restart iCloud3. That will reinstall everything without recreating the sensors. You can restart HA if that fid not do what you wanted to do.

That is good to know T that the reload command was causing it. I’m curious why you wanted to reload?

I got my problem: in the log was written, that the device names are double. I dont know why, but thats the reason for no entities. I switched the name to something i have not used in the past and it works. Still wondering where the doubled devices are...

I think you may have two devices in your Apple acct that have the same name. Or maybe the Family Sharing list. One could be the phone you have now and the duplicate could be previous phone. The iCloud3 error occurred trying to format the error message.
