Error message: battery is an invalid option

Open claude5555 opened this issue 7 months ago • 7 comments

Hi all,

I have an issue with icloud3 v 3.2.2 on a new HA installation. The apple account is linked, when I click in the configuration menu to "set sensors created by iCloud" and select the parameter update form, I access to a menu where I can select several item. When I save my selection, I get a message "Battery is an invalid option". I didn't change any parameter related to battery. If I unselect I get the same message.

The result is that I have entities without any figures or parameters coming from my iPhone.

May I kindly ask you if I could get some help?

Thanks a lot

Kind regards

C

I believe I have fixed this error.

Unzip the zip file below into the icloud3 directory and restart iCloud3

patch v3.2.2.zip

Hi,

first of all thank you for your kindness in wasting time to solve my problem. So as I followed your recommendations. I uploaded your patch to icloud3 folder and, using terminal, I unzipped the patch. I got question to replace some files and I answered yes to all. Then, I reload HA and went to icloud3 integration. I got the same message. Maybe I have something wrong, I am not an expert of HA OS and of Linux command. I just unzipped by entering unzip and the name of the patch.

Thanks a lot for all.

Kind regards

Go back into the Configure > Sensors screen and select 'Set to Default', then Save. Then go back to the Sensors screen and make any changes to the sensors you want to enable/disable. Then Save those changes.

Hi,

Tank you for your support.

I recently applied the patch you provided for iCloud3 by unzipping it directly into the custom_components/icloud3 folder. After doing so, I started experiencing critical file system issues on my Home Assistant OS installation.

Specifically, I encountered errors like:

/bin/rm: I/O error
mount: I/O error

Eventually, the partition became read-only (EROFS), and I was unable to delete the icloud3 folder or recover from the issue. I suspect that something during the extraction process (or possibly within the archive) may have corrupted the file system, or triggered a bug in the F2FS partition used by HA OS. I'm now doing a clean reinstall, but I wanted to let you know in case this could be caused by specific files or permissions in the patch. Thanks again for your work and support

Kind regards

The file I posted was a standard zip file. I made it using the same methods I always have. In any case, a restores should put you back where you were. I have released v3.2.2.3 which contains the update to the programs I sent you so install that version and see if your problems continue.
