Remove view Edge Entity Validation for operations

Following the bug raised and fixed in gh-1992. Should the views been validated at all? Can the view validation be removed completely and opChains simply return null if the view specified does not exist?

@GCHQDev404 The status of this issue is unclear. PR #2393 might have resolved it but that was closed in favour of #2394 which merged code from d47853. Can this issue be closed now or is there some remaining issue here still to be fixed?
