Bug report: v10 not working in Firefox
I've just installed v10.0.0 from v9.55.0. I completely deleted the old installation directory, recreated it, cloned from github, changed ownership to www-data, and ran the install and build commands. I can load CyberChef v10 in Chrome just fine, but Firefox provides the following error details:
TypeError: document.querySelector(...) is null Filename: https://cyberchef.78z.us/assets/main.js Line: 2 Column: 5241977 Error: TypeError: document.querySelector(...) is null User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/111.0 CyberChef version: 10.0.0
I can't replicate this bug. It seems to work fine in Firefox 111 on OS X for me. Is anyone else seeing this?
Can you run the dev version (npm start) and let me know what the error message is then as it should be more verbose and useful. Thanks.
It you just want to host a version yourself, have you tried downloading the ZIP file and simply hosting the contents of that? There's no need to build your own version unless you are making changes to it.

Ah, good to know. I've been building it for the longest time. I downloaded the zip and placed the contents in my web root. Loaded up fine in Chrome, same error message in Firefox
I still cannot replicate this bug. If you can provide me with more detailed error messages from a dev build I will look into it more, otherwise I'll close this pending reports of the same problem from other people.
Have you tried disabling extensions?
same error also occurs on the mpepping/cyberchef docker container
