Good idea! I suggest one change though. As in real life consultancy games, only the camp leader should be able to take moves while game is ongoing.

FICS is slowly dying. I suggest everyone to play on https://lichess.org It offers everything what FICS ever offered, plus endless other features. Not to mention that lichess GUI is lightning...
Pychess maintenance is not stopped completely. I accept/merge PRs sent by others and sometimes I fix some bugs myself. But this happens very sporadically. Finally I push out new releases...

Wasn't coding pass move as king moves in place was chosen because they just do the same OTB (turn king to other side)?
Yea, maybe we should handle this on pychess site similar to Janggi. First player put up their pieces, then click on "ready" button, then second player doing it the same...
Yes, implementing this in pychess seems theoretically possible, but not trivial. I'm happy with current Sittuyin implementation, so I don't plan to do it myself for sure :)
