Works for me. At step 4) it doesn't selects the first letter for me. Maybe it's a gtk/gi version dependent bug.

Just installed latest pygi-aio-3.18.2_rev3-setup.exe on Windows7. It doesn't produces the issue.

Seems this is not just gtk but platform dependent. On Windows (no issue) the versions are: glib 2.46.2 gobject-introspection 1.46 gtk 3.18.6 (Not reproducible on Ubuntu 14.04 too.)

After I started https://github.com/gbtami/pychess-variants this project is not actively maintained. I suggest to play RK on lichess.org

Maybe "anymore" is too strong here. But I had little time for this project in latest 1-2 years. I hope it will be better this year :)
