Is there a way to filter by search value?

I was wondering if you implemented/have planned a search feature for this package. Ideally it would be nice to have a way to set the "searchable" columns (as for sortable) and use the same URL system used to sort the items.

Currently, there is no way to accomplish this. I've been considering including in the rewrite of this package the excellent work from jedrzej's Pimpable package, which would include the ability to filter via a simple search.
