Primary alert overrides secondary alert

My settings are 50 minute work period, 10 minute re-reminder period. Rest time required: 4 minutes.

After working 50 minutes, the primary alert goes off. After working 10 more minutes, the secondary alert goes off. If I never stop working, the secondary alert goes off every 10 minutes, as it should, until... the primary alert goes off again.
