Linux version - renaming tracks

Open Mike-w78 opened this issue 4 years ago • 4 comments

When saving a renamed track title on the Linux version, the app seems to lose connection with the player. Reconnecting the USB cable does not solve the issue. Restarting the app is the only way to then get back to the disc contents.

This was experienced when using a disc recorded in LP2 with a high number of tracks. I've just tried using a SP disc with around a dozen tracks on and renaming those seems to work fine.

@Mike-w78 Wait, is there a linux version? Where did you get it? I thought there was only mac and windows for now.

How was this disc originally recorded? There are some known issues with discs originally made with Sonic Stage. Do they show as "Protected" in the interface (closed padlock on the right hand side of the track). You could also go into settings and debug window and see if there are any relevant error messages.

@Invictaz Linux version is listed here (think you've found it already) - https://github.com/gavinbenda/platinum-md#linux

This sounds similar to the decimal/hex issue I just posted. Playing tracks beyond (or is it starting with..) #10 plays the track with that hex value, instead of the selected track.
