Linux Mint 21.1 no connection to MD Device

Platinum MD worked fine with Mint 20.3. After upgrading to Mint 21.1 the app can't detect my MD drive- The debug window shows:

I tried WebMinidisc and NetMD Wizard and both do their job. But I'd prefer to use Platinum MD.

I followed the instructions given by Spacur in "V1.2 Linux Release?" and Platinum MD now works fine with Linux Mint 21.3
