couple of points for next discussion: i) burst mode, ii) flash as "EEPROM"
Just so that we do not forget to chat about this next time :) .

Burst mode: in my experience: double the processing power (because double the MCU frequency), at the cost of double the energy consumption (0.5mA to 1~1.5mA)

"flash as EEPROM": no experience on my side, but I know some people have used it for a tiny bit of non volatile storage (credentials secrets etc can be written through as small "server-over-USB" after compilation).
