Unable to import download jobs into Motrix

Open Aldritch-L opened this issue 1 year ago • 14 comments

Since the last automatic update of the Motrix client, Google Chrome has not been able to use the [Motrix WebExtension] plugin properly to block and import download tasks into Motrix.

Same issue here. I've reinstalled the extension and no matter what settings I use it's just not able to intercept Chrome downloads.

Just tested this on windows 10. It is working just fine for me. It must be most probably your firewall or something breaking it for you guys

I believe it's not the firewall problem, it still works if i paste a link direct to it, more like some issue between chrome and motrix.

But hey good news guys, the newest version works again, thanks for all the works. Here's what works for me:

  • Motrix ver.1.8.19 (with core 1.36)
  • Extension 23.5.5 ( which is the same)
  • Chrome 114.0.5735.134

remember to restart chrome and Motrix after update

my situation is like this:

Previously, Motrix WebExtensions worked fine, but after reinstalling my system recently, It stopped functioning. Therefore, I tested other WebExtensions mentioned in the Motrix software and found that they work properly, except for the Motrix WebExtension in question.

22H2 22621.1702 Motrix WebExtension:23.5.5 Motrix:Version: 1.8.19

It is working now. I completely removed Motrix web extension and then reinstalled. Reset all the settings on Motrix to default. Then generated new RPC Secret key and used 17719 as the Listen Port. The web extension works after that.

Motrix: Version 1.8.19 , Engine Version 1.36.0 Chrome Version 114.0.5735.134 (Official Build) (64-bit) Windows 10 22H2 OS Build 19045.3086
