Importing >100 FASTA or Nexus files cause hangs on macOS High Sierra

Reported by e-mail. Fewer files seem to work, more memory doesn't help. Sounds like it could be thread-related?

I have the same problem in Sierra, and with java 1.8. Sequence matrix is a very handy app, could you please address this problem? Many thanks Rita
