Gmvault downloads emails extremely slowly? How to fix?

Hello, I just downloaded, installed and got somewhat familiar with Gmvault.

Upon running my initial backup Gmvault downloads email incredibly slowly. Think one email every 15 seconds. This isn't primarily due to email size as most of the emails downloaded are of moderate size only (0-2MB) and definitely not maxing out my bandwidth. I have tried closing Gmvault and then using the command to resume the download but this didn't fix the issue. The emails still come in incredibly slowly.

I can't imagine that this is normal. Is there a solution for this problem? What do I have to change.

Current parameters I'm using are: gmvault sync --oauth --type full --db-dir Directoryonsecondarydrive\Gmvault --emails-only --no-compression --encrypt [email protected]
