@shannonbux and I put up a PR that implements some of these ideas https://github.com/gatsbyjs/gatsby/pull/12236

From what I remember in desktop, the previous design was far superior, you might had improved the communication, but you watered down the design. Too much babysitting perhaps, It really is not that hard to understand what gatsby is for. A brief intro video can help speed up the message, this has been my experience with other frameworks.

@decimoseptimo we have plans to do more with the design; these latest updates were a first step to clarify messaging.

This is a good idea, and is part of our future plans. Thanks!

Thanks @decimoseptimo! That is a great compliment to the designers who contributed to the previous site; I also think it was great. Here is a summary of what motivated the change: https://www.gatsbyjs.org/blog/2019-03-11-dot-org-prototypes/#we-did-another-usability-test-in-november-with-bummer-results

The document talks about the problem, the brainstormming, and the implemented changes. What about the findings after the new testings. How did things actually improved? if at all.

Me personally, I find "Build {modern/blazing fast} websites with React" more compelling than "Fast in every way that matters" (I mean, if I don't know what it is, why would I care if it's fast?). Having moved "How works" upwards is better, but the ammount and placement of text at the bottom is a bit overwhelming.

Hi @decimoseptimo! Here are the results of testing the prototype (I realize now the header for this section isn't super clear) https://www.gatsbyjs.org/blog/2019-03-11-dot-org-prototypes/#what-is-the-final-lo-fi-prototype .

We are still gathering data to see if we're getting the results we hoped for and will share those soon.

Also, question here: what text are you referring to?

I'm looking at the current gatsby.com site. And I refer to everything after the "How Gatsby works" section.
