Next release, this time for real

It would be really cool to get the sum type codec released. I need it in my projects :)
Maybe in the last time the ambitions were too high, so we got stuck.
So I ask @garyb : What do you think is the bare bare minimum that needs to be done to get current master released?
I can do some small edits/fixes but don't have time to do major refactorings.

Oh yeah, let's do it! I forgot it wasn't released actually as I have been using it, must have linked to a hash rather than the release version. I don't even remember specifically why we held it up now! Something in the other sum-related PRs I guess.
Yes, same here. I've been using it from master branch, too. Which I'd say is a good sign that it's release ready.
I went through the open issues tagged "next release". To me, all of them look like further improvements like error messages, or also module and namespace reactoring. The issue about documentation is also not so problematic, because there is already a section in the README showing the new sum codec.
To me it looks like there's nothing critical and we could release what we have. Let me know, if I can do something to support.
