Removing the extra DatabaseMirror line in freshclam.conf helped me as well. Even after deleting daily databases, the freshclam update was failing out. Must have been downloading from the main source...

I would assume it's still a feature, not a bug.

@luishfonseca If you install via source, you can add the patches to your instance anytime if needed.
