[bug] Status bar icon has disappeared
Just recently - possibly at update to Big Sur 11.2 RC 3 - the status bar icon for EUL has disappeared.
It should be between the scroll reverser and keyboard icons in the below:
The program is running, but the icon seems to have gone to zero width. Since there is no icon to click on, if I want to close EUL I have to use Activity Monitor, and I cannot access any preferences.
this is strange. thanks for reporting. will try the rc version and debug what is going on
To keep you updated, the icon has come back this morning - even though I rebooted several times last night and it did not come back. I realise if this is going to be very intermittent then there may not be much you can do until someone finds a way to make a more repeatable bug. (And I realise it might not even be directly to do with your software!) I'll keep you posted if I see any more changes on my setup. Many thanks!
@MikeBeaton thank you so much for your kindness! really appreciate your empathy on the developer side - just let me know if it can be reproduced in a stable way. i'll also keep an eye on it once i get 11.2 update

I'd agree it does sound pretty much like the same issue as #95. I'll try that fix if it happens again. And report back!

I cloned this repository and run on X-Code. I can't still see the status bar icon.
NB If this is the same as issue #95 (the description sounds the same to me; this has now recurred occasionally for me, and always cures itself again within a few hours max) then it may not be specifically to do with the new version of Big Sur at all - but perhaps something more long-standing, but sporadic? Thanks!
@sinanbozkus @Bmju i think the latest version partially resolved one possible situation which leads to the disappearance. feel free to have a try and let me know if that doesn't help
