Multiple Columns Menu Items reorder themselves when adding a new Menu Item

Open bayareajenn opened this issue 1 year ago • 2 comments

Greetings,

I've found a bug as can be seen from the threat at https://rockettheme.com/forum/joomla-template-aurora-solved-threads/289626-solved-multiple-column-menus-ordering-bugs.

What happens is that if one has multiple columns for a drop-down and a new child menu item is added to the parent, the columns all condense themselves to the first or second column. Then they all have to be fixed again in the Gantry menu to put them in their correct places in the columns.

Mark confirms this is a bug. Fingers crossed it's an easy one. Happens in FF, Edge, Safari.

I can confirm this is still tha case for Gantry 5.5.17 on WordPress. Perhaps there needs to be a better option to add new menu items that are in and existing dropdown that is split into columns.

I am also dealing with this issue, also in Gantry 5.5.17 but on Joomla 4. The symptoms are the same, but I have more menu's with multiple columns and usually they all start shifting.
