Generating errors when saving layout

I am using the latest Gantry 5 framework with latest Helium Theme on Joomla 4.2.8 and PHP 8.1.12. I getting the error " preg_match(): Passing null to parameter #2 ($subject) of type string is deprecated" whenever i save the layout.

It rendering the framework useless. Please help.

can you post a stacktrace? set joomla as debug (system / global configuration / system / debug system) and try again. Should display the stack trace in the browser
