This overlay was born at a time when the upstream eclasses where not yet that sophisticated. Without looking at them too closely I would say they nearly reached feature parity...

I with this commit reverted I was also able to [build it on Koji](https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/packageinfo?packageID=34666) so raft 0.11.3 can finally find it's way into Fedora.
