Not a MacBook, but I can confirm OpenMTP working on Mac mini 2020 (Apple Silicon M1). Issue might have been resolved.

I personally dont have a M1 laptop but I have been waiting for one of my friends to help me build the files. It hasnt happened yet. Will try to do something about it soon

Any update on this? I'm not sure if it's a M1 issue, but it's not working for me unfortunately.

Update

OpenMTP M1 alpha release.

Warning:

• This is an alpha release, things might break
• Although all the basic features should work fine, I have tested the 100% of existing features
• I haven't looked into the OpenMTP Auto App Update yet. I shall comment the URLs to the future beta and stable release builds below.
