verbosity in lightcurve generation
Currently enrico
sets verbose=no
for the calls to gtlike for each of the bins of a lightcurve. That results in no likelihood output to the logfile. Given that this calls are done in the background, if the likelihood output is not saved to the logfile the user has no idea what has happened during the fitting of that bin. Since sometimes there are problems with the flux error determination because of hitting the parameter limits, I think this should be set to verbose=yes
(or not modified from the initial config) so there is more info in the logfile.
The verbose option allow fluxes,TS of all the sources to be computed which is time consuming. This might event be the slowest part when the fits files have been generated. I will nevertheless change it and use the user option
Ah, I was not aware of that. Then it is definitely not a good idea to have it by default. One thing that would be very useful is if it could be checked whether any free parameter had hit their range limits when computing the flux error, so it is clear whether an unusually low dF/F is related to that or to,e.g., increased exposure. I am not sure how it can be done, though.
