Invalid gossip stone hint while speaking to Saria causes black fog
Steps to reproduce:
- Play Saria's Song
- Ask to speak to her repeatedly until you get an invalid gossip stone hint (e.g. "What's that?")
- The text box will close without asking if you want to speak to Saria again, but the game won't close the text box mode properly: there will be thick black fog until you leave the map and Navi will be frozen in place
- Playing Saria's Song again doesn't do anything

Thanks for the report- The fix for this is really just to fix the root issue and stop the invalid hints from appearing rather than changing anything about playing Saria's.
As an update, #302 puts a bandaid on this problem by making it so all gossip stones without hints will have a junk hint instead, but does not actually solve the mystery of why these crop up when logic is on in the first place.
I have discovered in vanilla oot3d if you get an invalid item it look like a bottle and has the same dialogue for the description but when you use it it’s the korok sword
